All To Ruin
With infectious melodies and memorable riffs; All To Ruin’s album Parables certainly has potential to break into the metal charts.
A mixture of influences can be heard within this eclectic album of music; for instance there are some tracks on the album that clearly take influence from Killswitch Engage and Funeral For A Friend whereas on the other hand there are tracks that I think take influence from The Blackout and Yashin. I think that this a brilliant thing that this band are breaking the genre barriers with this eclectic use of influences from different types of metal.
The music has a huge dose of liveliness within the album, which leads me to picture what one of their live shows will consist of. I can imagine a lot of mosh pits, headbanging and crowd interaction with the band. I would like to see this band live to see if these visions are accurate.
My personal favourite track on the album is Under The Shade; it reminds me strongly of a more punk rock version of Jettblack’s Black Gold with a huge edge and that same ballad type song. Another notable song on the album is a song that I have added to my recently started list of one word titled epic songs and that is the song Vultures. It will most certainly become an anthemic hit with listeners and gig goers.
Overall a brilliant album and band most certainly to keep a look out for.
