Breathe In The Silence - NEW!
We’ve featured Breathe In The Silence before, so when Adamross got in touch saying they were recording a video, and that we should check out their new track, Forget The Light, I was pretty damned excited to hear what was going on. Going on to state that the track shows what they’re made of, this could well be the beginning of a new age for a band we’ve liked from the word go – so what of the music?
Launching us straight into a melee of hammering guitar work and pounding rythms one thing is for sure, the guys have been working hard. Offering up a sound which is quite simply massive, the track immediately grabs your attention and pulls you in, keeping you engaged through the soaring vocal lines and pushing the sound deeper into your aural passages with the hard hitting backing music. Gang vocals, hammering guitars, pounding drums, rumbling bass and soaring lead vocals, this track has it all from the word go, immediately showing why Breathe In The Silence are a band that we need to be paying attention to, keeping up with, and getting to play a town near us very, very soon.
It’s always cool to hear how bands develop over the course of time, but what’s even better is when you hear a band who have already established their sound taking it to a whole new level. Breathe In The Silence have done just that, taking their sound, bolstering it, refining it and working on it, resulting with Forget The Light – a track that’s about to propel them seriously into the spotlight. Definitely a band to make sure you check out if you’ve not before – you won’t be disappointed.

Breathe In The Silence
We were recently contacted by Post Hardcore unit, Breathe In The Silence, letting us know about their debut track, We’ll See How We Feel, to see what we thought. Coming straight out of South Wales, this 5 piece unit from the valleys offer up their own unique style of post hardcore, full of energy, brutal breakdowns and soaring vocal hooks – which sounds pretty cool to me! As such, I thought we’d check out their track for ourselves to see what we thought of things so far!
Building into the opening with a soaring lead line over a hammering riff, the mix forms into a syncopated melee of hammering guitars, rumbling basslines and pounding drums. Bringing in the vocals to complete the track, there’s a real sense of melody thrown into the mix here, moving away from their hardcore roots initially and showing off the more hooky side of the band, the sort of thing which will get people involved and have them wanting to hear a lot more. There’s a real catchiness to things here as well, the sort of thing which is sure to hook people in and keep them listening throughout. Sure, there’s the heavy element to things going on but at the same time, the whole track manages to stay well balanced and well put together throughout, suggesting that if this is the debut track from these guys then the future is looking bright for this Welsh 5 piece, and I’ll be interested to hear more once it’s done and ready!
I like it when we come across bands like Breathe In The Silence as they’re testament to the idea that bands are developing, changing and evolving constantly. These guys might describe themselves as post-hardcore but I think there’s more to it than that, there’s elements of punk thrown in, elements of straight down the line rock, and moments which are simply built around a melody and a harmony combination. Definitely one I’m looking forward to watching develop, we’ll see what happens!
