Cable65 - Fungus
Hailing from Sheffield; Cable65 are making their mark not just in the UK but internationally with their live shows and buzzing music. Their brand new EP Fungus will do just that!
Listening to their new EP classic punk rock influences can be heard almost instantly within the hard hitting vocals and slick guitar riffs during the opening track Sanitation. There is a brilliant selection of tracks that suit different moods during the day; for instance if you fancy a dance around your room whack on Coconut Supply and if you want a chilled out evening then Rental Sunshine is the recommended track. The one aspect of this album that stands out is the hint of classic punk rock coming back onto the music scene, there is a touch of The Ramones in the drums and guitars. Vocal wise, personally it sounds like Aerosmith which proves to be a fantastic fusion.
In a true punk fashion the EP ends successfully with a fast paced track with lots of loud guitars and vocals.
Overall a great EP, be sure to check out one of their live shows below.
