Cambridge Folk Festival
Cambridge Folk Festival has announced their Friday and Saturday headliners for this year, and the festival is shaping up to be one not to miss from the sounds of it. With Bellowhead and the Levellers playing on the Friday, and KT Tunstall and The Mavericks taking over on the Saturday, this promises to be a weekend of chilling out, kicking back, and having a damned good time.
With Bellowhead having been described as 'the best live act in this country apart from The Who' by the Independent, The Levellers being stalwarts of the touring scene, KT Tunstall with her soft and soothing vocal tones, and The Mavericks...I mean everyone knows The Mavericks - this is shaping up to be one of the best line ups the festival has seen to date.
Standing out as one of the premier music events in Europe, and one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world, the Cambridge Folk Festival is renowned for its eclectic mix of music and wide range of artists, refusing to stick to convention or expectations.
Having previously featured such artists as Newton Faulkner, Frank Turner, Richard Thompson, Seasick Steve and The Zutons, this isn’t your stereotypical ‘folk’ festival, but rather an event that the whole family can enjoy for the weekend.
