Chris Helme
The guys in Prescription PR dropped us a line to let us know about an upcoming tour from Chris Helme, former frontman of the Seahorses, as well as his newest track, Long Way Round, so we could spread the good word about what’s going on!
Chris is about to embark on a comprehensive tour, visiting:
· 2nd Oct 2012, Surya, London
· 7th Oct 2012, Rock Your Mind Festival, Middlesborough
· 12th Oct 2012, Kings Hall (with Simon & Oscar of Ocean Colour Scene), Herne Bay
· 3rd Nov 2012, Venue Cymru (with Turin Brakes), Llandudno
· 4th Nov 2012, Hare & Hounds, Birmingham
· 9th Nov 2012, Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh
· 10th Nov 2012, Tollbooth, Stirling
· 23rd Nov 2012, The Square (with Mark Morriss of The Bluetones), Harlow

· 6th Dec 2012, Chapel Arts Centre, Bath
· 21st Dec 2012, The Blue Room (with Mark Morriss of the Bluetones), Blackpool
· 22nd Dec 2012, Cumbernauld Town Hall, Cumbernauld
This is going to be a tour featuring special guests that simply, you won’t want to miss. To give you an idea of the sort of thing to expect, we thought we’d give you an overview of his current track, Long Way Round, so you know why you should be getting out there to check out the live show.
Opening with a serene yet upbeat sense of calm and cleanliness through the acoustic guitar line, the song gets off to a slow but well suited start, showing that sometimes, the acoustic approach can hammer home a message just as well as the distorted approach. Catchy, clean, and full of hooks which will latch you in and make you want to hear more, this is soft rock done damned well, and the sort of thing which will accompany an evening of live music remarkably well. Sticking to his tried and tested method, the track comes to a close much as it began, leaving you with no doubt that this is going to be a tour to check out, and an artist that we should all be paying more attention to!
This is a tour you should be getting out to check out, so get out there, show Chris some love and have a damned good time appreciating some damned good music.
