Dreamhour
So we were recently contacted by Debojyoti about his latest project, Dreamhour. Describing the project as more pop orientated than his previous stuff, this project is in the process of putting together their first mini album featuring musicians from all around the world, allegedly because it’s the only way he can make friends, but in my opinion, because it’s a damned genius idea! Seeing as we were told about The New Day Song, I figured it was only right I check things out for myself to see what was going on!
Light and airy, the track gets going with interesting synth lines before leading into a bass heavy mix of catchy elements. Packed with deep and powerful elements from the off, this is a track which sounds like a poppier version of Dream Theater in some ways, and like a hybrid of experimental rock in others. Despite the pop edge, this emotional track is one which will electrify your senses, bringing about images of dawn breaking, moments of new beginnings, and times when music was the only thing that mattered to you. It’s impossible to put a track like this into a genre as such, so we’ll simply refer to it as a uniquely Dreamhour sound, one which will capture your imagination, drawn you in, and awaken feelings deep inside of you that you’d long forgotten existed – simply put, a triumph.
Wow, and that’s the only thing I can really think to say, wow. When Debojyoti first dropped me a line I had images of the other music he’s put together, but this is a whole new beast. Pop orientate in some aspects, yet deep and powerful in others, this track is a classic waiting to be discovered, and one which I’ve fallen in love with in its entirety. Don’t go into this looking for heaviness or distortion, go into this with an open mind and you’ll find something unexpectedly beautiful, something designed to evoke an emotional response, and something you’ll come back to time and time again.
