Feed The Rhino
Fresh off of the back of their recent appearance at Sonisphere Festival, we were put onto Feed the Rhino to check out what they have to offer. Having had a look at their band page on FB, we’ve had a listen to two of their tracks to see what we thought.
Caller Of The Town opens heavy, sludgy and full on, powering drums and distorted guitars backing up screaming vocals immediately pushing this song forward. As the track progresses the guitar continues to give off a dark yet somehow funky impression, continually beating the music into your ear drums. Broken down to a bass line, the track briefly eases up before launching straight back in at full pelt pushing right up until the end.
Lambs To The Slaughter_Priest At The Alter follows on starting exactly where the last track left off. This track is slower than the last but heavier at times, still pushing that dark distorted guitar and solid backing drum beat. I personally prefer this track to the last one, purely for the riffs in the chorus, their progression linked with the vocals create this awesome sound which seems to drown everything else around you out, it’s pretty damned impressive.
I like it when someone gets back from seeing a live band and immediately recommends them to others, it shows that the band in question are capable live. Feed The Rhino are one of those bands, offering fans not just a recording to listen to, but an awesome live show to back it up! Definitely one I’ll be trying to get more music from.
