HeatSeeker
We were recently contacted by James from HeatSeeker, to see what we thought about their stuff which they’re coming up with. Being a new band on the scene, these guys have only got a live video of them playing in support of Martyr De Mona (a band we’ve also featured), so I thought I’d have a watch and see what they were sounding like!
Despite being a live recording, there’s a real sense of the sound of the band here, heavy guitars creating a sense of post grunge which verges on the metal borders, not quite going all out yet still crafting a sound which is going to entice you to hear more. Catchy and powerful, the band work well as a unit to craft the tracks they play, managing to sound good playing live and evidently working well as a unit. Developing their stage presence as the track progresses, these guys strike me as a band to watch out for, one which we’re going to be hearing a lot more from really really soon!
When you watch this video (below) it’s really important to remember that this was the bands debut gig, and as such this is them coming out fresh and new to the scene. Based on this, I can’t wait to see what they come up with after some time playing live and of course, getting in and getting some recording done!
