Hellbound Hearts
HELLBOUND HEARTS – OUTSIDE EP
Released April 29 2013 – all digital outlets
Former Terrorvision bassist Danny Lambert apparently formed Hellbound Hearts because he was looking for “the perfect concoction of noise”. It sounds as though he has found it. This is a pure pop disc – sharp, loud, tuneful and – in the best possible sense of the word – disposable. This is music as instant gratification, with riffs and rhythms aplenty, which bodes very well for the band’s upcoming tour. The boys know they’re not doing anything new but they’re playing music they obviously love and have spent a great deal of time honing and perfecting and they’re doing so as if their lives depended upon it. Would that the same could be said of more rock bands.
