Revoker Interview |
Dave caught up with Jamie and Shane from Revoker just before their opening slot at the White Rabbit in Plymouth, in support of Drowning Pool and Fozzy. Listen in at the link HERE or in the widget below to hear them talk about what to expect from their new album, how the world of Revoker is looking right now, and Jamie calling Scriv from Lifer a prick….his words not mine!
Watching Revoker hit the stage it was immediately clear why they’ve become as popular as they have already, as from the word go they owned the White Rabbit and didn’t let go until they were good and ready.

The double bass pedal was rolling, guitars hammering, bass rumbling and vocals roaring as the guys hammered out a set which left even the most seasoned gig goer stunned. I know that personally I was stood just watching in amazement as the guys stood there (on what is really quite a small stage) and hammered out music that was raw, powerful, heavy and yet strangely melodic at the same time.
Talking to Jamie after the show he said again about the small stage, but as I said to him, regardless of stage size it was a hell of a set, and one that has surely secured Revoker a slot amongst the must see bands of this country.
On top of their musical ability and showmanship, what really struck me about Revoker was how down to earth they were, spending their time after their set either selling merch and CD’s at the front of the venue, or getting involved with the crowd in the pit and taking part fully. It’s a sure sign that a band loves their music when they’re always there on the floor, always talking, and always willing to speak to people who approach them – something else which is sure to stand them in damned good stead moving forwards.
Definitely a band to check out if you’ve not seen them before, and a band I know I’ll be aiming to see again very, very soon.
