Silent Knight
5 piece Perth band Silent Knight are Zoran Cunjak - Vocals Stu McGill - Guitars, Cam Nicholas – Guitars, Cam Daw - Bass and Paul Wrigley – Drums
The band formed in 2011. Drawing influences from the classic 80's metal sound and cranking up the metronome, Silent Knight are Perth's Power Metal force!
Songs are injected with a high energy galloping rhythm, rapid machine gun fire double kick drums, scorching guitar solos and harmonies, topped off with powerful vocals.
The band is about to release their debut album Masterplan. It’s about to become a busy 2013 with shows booked for Perth, Sydney and Melbourne scheduled in the coming weeks.
The album has been written and recorded by SK in Perth and produced to a fantastic quality by Dan Grainger at Maelstrom Studios also in WA.
There are 9 tracks on the album, each one was created and perfected with great passion. From the first time you hear it you are taken back in time to a different rock era, even though the influences are clear the songs are original and will be a must for fans of 80’s heavy metal/rock epic tracks.
The pace of the album remains high and fast throughout. The drums are vigorous and powerful guitars riffs pepper each track. Lyrically the boys are telling their own stories via their music. Vocally Zoran is outstanding, and they have selected melodic tracks for this debut album to highlight all their musical strengths, giving them all a chance to shine. The vital ingredients from that era are dominant in every song, I can only elaborate more by saying if you were around during that time and you got lost in the soundtracks of Iron Maiden, the riffs that give you shivers, frantic beats that make you shake your head hard, and the vocals that bring out the mad wannabe rock star in us all then you cannot go by this album.
