Toranaga
San PR have sent over another metal gem to Loud Stuff, they are Yorkshire born Toranaga and they could be next in line to support metal giants such Metallica and Iron Maiden.
Opening with the atmospheric introduction Portam Ad Infernum was the perfect choice as it entices the listener to find out more about the band they are about to listen to on the album. The next track Traitors Gate breaks the ice with a killer guitar riff that Iron Maiden would most certainly be proud of, you also here the first of many original, finger shredding guitar solo. As the album progresses you will find there is a great, eclectic selection of songs that will most certainly go down well within the metal scene, from the fast paced Cynical Eyes to the marching beat of I Play God there is a sign that this band will most certainly progress into the metal music scene.
The tracks that stand the most are:
Cynical Eyes: It's fast paced rhythm and Metallica like vocals that have the listener headbanging and playing an air guitar anytime, anywhere.
The Ultimate Act Of Betrayal: It's starts of slow and ballady so when the heavy guitars kick in it takes you by surprise. It can be interpreted to represent the sadness at the beginning when the act of betrayal has started and it then transforms to anger. The title of this song is very cleverly portrayed by the music.
Battle Cry: The rhythm of this song is very unpredictable which works exceptionally well, you have the marching beat at the beginning then it turns more upbeat. You can imagine soldiers running into battle.
Overall a brilliant album that Toranaga should be proud of, they will most certainly go down well within the metal scene.
Stand Out Tracks: Cynical Eyes, The Ultimate Act Of Betrayal and Battle Cry
For fans of Metallica and Evile
