AcidEyes
AcidEyes are a three piece band from Philadelphia created by Brad Parsons and Tracey Caterisano in January of 2010. Their music mainly consists of grunge and punk, with hints of thrash thrown into it.
Now I’ll admit from the start that this kind of music is not my favourite genre. That being said this band certainly has the potential of being quite big if they get the right opportunity to record their music in a proper recording studio.
The first track I heard was 'Together We Unite' which I believe has all the right ingredients for a first EP track. There's no question this band knows how to play their instruments unfortunately the bass guitar was a bit hard to find which would have really made this track a real winner. And again, unfortunately this track is under 3 minutes long otherwise I would have suggested to make this the lead song on their first album they bring out.
The next track I got from their Facebook page was 'Isolation' which again, I felt would have been a good song if it was recorded properly. The song lyrics are good but unfortunately due to the quality, I found it a bit hard to understand. This is the kind of song I would listen to, no matter what genre I was in to, if it got the right training and recording opportunities.
I'll be very honest and say at the moment this won't break in to my 'Top 10' bands I love; that being said it doesn't mean this band won't have a good future ahead of them should they get the momentum going. They have all the skills they need to be great yet need to find a way to bring it all together.
I'd be very interested to hear this band once they had some proper studio time. They sound very young right now and I reckon with a bit more time and experience they could be a band that everyone would want to listen to. I'll be keeping close tabs on this band from now on!
