Exeters very own Setting Circles got in touch with us about their upcoming recording time, we thought that now was probably a good time to get some info out of them before their album comes out and they forget about us mere mortals..
1) Members names: Jake Jordan-Wall - Guitarist, Jamie Beard - Vocalist, Jack O'Hara - Bassist, George Woodward - Drummer 2) When did you get together? Jamie, Jack and I had the idea brewing for over a year but i lived in Spain at the time and couldn't. So i moved to Exeter and attended Exeter College to pursue this idea. Met George who was on my course and had our first practice in January. 3) How did you all meet? I went to school with Jack in Spain for a few years, then he left for Exeter. He then met Jamie at school and so Jack introduced us. I was at the time looking for an interesting singer to start a band with Jack and so Jamie was perfect. Months later i attended college and met George, he was perfect! For the sound we were interested in making, he hit the spot! 4) How would you describe the music you make? Spinny psychedelic vocal melodies, hard, heavy guitar riffs, irregular drum beats and head banging basslines! 5) Who are your major influences? Alter bridge is our main influence, Karnivool, Thrice, The Police and HIM 6) Complete this sentence: One day as a band we hope to... Make a living out of playing our music to people that can enjoy and relate to us. 7) Why should people listen to your music? If people want to either kick back and relax or Jump around and have a party, then our music is perfect. Our music is very versatile 8) What are your plans for this coming year? We plan to relentlessly gig, gain a name for ourself and release an EP 9) Where can we get hold of your album? As of yet, there is no album, but at the start of July 2011, we plan on hitting the studio 10)Finally - say something profound that will make everyone think!
